Description: This highly anticpated Master class can now be learned in the comfort of your home! This video does not expire and is yours forever. Watch anytime.
In this video lesson Nancy will reveal her process of creating fantastical gardens in glass. This will be a multi-step and multi-element process that will include many techniques and use of various vitreous materials. Beyond walking you through a floral garden project step by step, firing by firing, the glass forming techniques you learn in this lesson can be applied to a multitude of projects.
Included in this lesson: vitrograph planning and process - if you do not have a vitrograph kiln to create the elements, AAE is now selling vitrograph stringers for your convenience - working over a torch to create unique fusible elements, planning and crafting part sheets, methods for generating a variety of visual effects using frits, powders and dry enamels. Students also learn how to work with HXtal glue to make a final professional presentation of their project. Nancy will challenge you to think outside the box, and make decisions in an improvisational way, creating art in real time! Nancy also imparts little gems of wisdom gained through working with glass as a medium for nearly 40 years including tips for keeping your workspace tidy, reducing waste, storing elements, safety, and strategies for minimizing coldworking. The ideas and approaches presented in this video are sure to help you gain a better understanding of kiln formed glass in general. All of this plus a beautiful 30-page handout that reviews and highlights important information covered in this online class.

You can purchase them HERE. Vitrograph stringers are NOT required for the process, it adds to it. This is a matter of artistic expression.

In addition to the creation of an extraordinary finished piece, this video is packed with tips and processes Nancy uses that thoroughly engage the imagination! She is an excellent and engaging instructor, providing not only the necessary information, but the 'why' as well. The accompanying PDF is highly detailed, with illustrations, instructions and schedules. I highly recommend this video!

So many inspiring techniques review by June Knowles on 1/13/2019
I go back to this video all the time - Nancy shares so many unique techniques and I always find inspiration watching her creative process. I especially appreciate how she utilizes scraps and leftovers to create colorful fun projects. Great Video review by Marcel Bridges on 1/12/2019
Love the video! I am a self taught glass artist and I have learned a lot of new techniques from watching her video. I live in a area where these types of classes are not offered and to be able to learn from home and not travel to take a class is a really big plus to me. Keep the videos coming!!!
Best class I have ever taken!!! Awesome!!! review by Lara on 1/11/2019
After an art background and working with glass for the last 15 years I have finally found my true glass spirit!!! I can take everything I've learned from this class and move forward again. I'm only limited by my imagination. I have a lot of pieces I want to start. I bought my first kiln from Nancy. She is an awesome teacher and a great friend.
Fantastic! review by Susan Neale on 1/9/2019
I couldn't be more pleased with this class. I am primarily self-taught because I live in a rural area without access to classes. Having the entire class at my fingertips to review at home is a dream come true. I liked the way Nancy described and showed each step of the process to create her work of art. The approach of the student creating her own unique version is very appealing to me. I plan to purchase the second video and hope she offers more in the future.
Glass Canvas review by Catherine McCann on 1/8/2019

A must!!! review by Victrolla on 11/10/2018
One would have to take a lot of classes and spend a lot more money to learn all the different techniques in this one video!! A must have video for the glass artist and an excellent educational video for the novice!

Creative in a new way review by KARENSHARBO on 10/17/2018
Just what I needed to get a jump start on another new technique. As an abstract artist and dedicated flower gardner , I can play with this and not have to pull any weeds. The video is instructive and easy to follow. Try it...you won’t be disappointed.
Hit the sweet spot review by KAREN on 10/16/2018
I’ve admired similar work to this is an art gallery and look for it each time I’m there. You brought it home for all of us with this magnificent video. Fun, easy to follow and inspiring all in one product. Thank you!

Easy to follow! review by Shannon on 10/7/2018
This technique is helping me use up a ton of scrap glass in a very beautiful way. I have an old torch and have been able to use my lampung working skills to create many pieces to include in my projects. I have received a ton of compliments on these pieces
I love the classes since I live in rural Alberta Canada and not many classes come my way!
Inspiring review by Robin Ogg on 9/29/2018
I found this video extremely inspiring! Lots of techniques and information that is so helpful as you design your own 'Dream Garden'.
Excellent as per always review by Carol Williams on 9/29/2018
Love this video. As we live in Australia, we can never attend any of the great classes that are held at AAE Glass. These videos are the next best thing. It is great that they are downloads so that there is not postage to worry about. Exchange rate bad enough with postage as well. Love the variety of techniques in this video especially. Thanks to everyone concerned.
Just WOW! an review by Cheryl Bourguignon on 9/29/2018
I've wanted to make a garden or landscape in glass but didn't know how to get started. This video shared so many ideas and techniques - things that I would never have thought of doing to make a real dream garden! Nancy is a terrific instructor and made me feel like I could do this! She takes you through all the steps and I developed lots of ideas for my special garden. Now I can hardly wait for Part 2 on underwater sea gardens - looking forward to all those luscious blues and greens with colorful fish and sea garden plants!
Awesome! review by Beth Riddle on 9/29/2018
Loved this video. Learning to create this dreamscape is well worth the price of this video. Then you add in the extras about the vitragraph pulls, powder and enamel sheet glass ideas and it's like a whole other learning experience. Truly loved this one!
Fantastic review by Pamela on 9/29/2018
I loved everything about this video! It opens up a world of ideas. Not only was it so much fun, the resulting artwork is so beautiful. Can't wait for her next class!
My head is spinning! review by Rebekah Spoonhour on 9/29/2018
Absolutely wonderful video! I love the fact that there are so many different techniques in this video. The base of the Fantasy Garden alone has my mind racing with new ideas! It also got me back into torch work which I haven’t done in quite some time. Wonderful video to spend the money on!!
I waited excitedly for this video and it did not disappoint! review by Shannon Mabry on 9/29/2018
She makes beautiful pieces and leads a great instructional video. Many of the reviews mention the use of vitrigraph elements but if you don't have a vitrigraph kiln, no worries! There is plenty of technique in this class to justify the purchase and watching of this video.
The fact that her technique makes good artful use of a fair amount of what we all call scrape glass (which we won't tell the clients and galleries) is icing on the cake! I love buying glass but boy, the bins of scrap that i will do something with someday are growing madly. Besides, it gives me excuse to buy more glass as I think a single layer 4mm base is a wise thing.
As always, production values are very high on the Education Center videos.
Unlimited Possibilities review by Nancy Slack on 9/26/2018
Nancy presents, in a clear and concise manner, many techniques in this video, as well as one possibility (the floral garden) of putting the techniques altogether. But once you start pulling stringer, making murrini and using up scrap glass, your head will spin thinking of how to incorporate them into other work!
Amazing Video review by Barb Dalenberg on 9/26/2018
The video was amazing. Nancy was an amazing instructor. Very articulate and specific about each step. The "garden" utilizes many of the components you already use in your pieces... they are just enhanced with her process.. I learned alot about layering and how to do it to get the most amazing product. Thanks again to AAE staff that put this together

This is a great detailed video covering many techniques. The handout that comes with the video is great. I love that the handout is detailed enough to use when at my workbench. Video covers vitrograph, torch work, part sheets, using frit and enamels. Great class! Can't wait for Volume 2!

Fabulous review by Carole Bowen on 9/19/2018
I was looking for a new technique when I saw the emails from AAE announcing Nancy’s video. I couldn’t wait for it to be published and have watched it over and over. The techniques are very straight forward and Nancy’s teaching style is easy to follow. I currently have a project in the works and hope to post the finished project. Plus I just heard part 2 is coming out in October. In better get working.
Excellent review by Clint Schrader on 9/19/2018
the presentation and explanation were excellent. I was able to follow along very well. What helped was the PDF after that allowed to skip back without finding the place on the video if you had questions or needed to review. Very well done
Great video! review by susan hogan on 9/19/2018
Lots of great procedures
Great video review by Temple on 9/19/2018
Nancy is so inspirational with her ideas. She has a no mistake ideation which allows the watcher to dream big. She takes ordinary glass and makes it extraordinary. After watching this I picked up a piece I had started months ago and had put aside and made it into a piece I am proud of. She shows you how to layer and refire pieces multiple times, how to pull vitrograph and basically how to think outside the box. It is a great video.
Learned a lot of cool techniques! review by Jennifer Stockman on 9/19/2018
This was a great tutorial. I was hesitant to purchase it because I don't know that I would make the "garden", although pretty, it isn't my style. But I am SO glad I did buy it anyhow because the techniques she shows and hits she gives has my mind whirling with creative ideas to use the techniques in other projects!
I really did enjoy it and am looking forward to the Under the Sea class..... and actually, maybe the garden is my style after all - at least I want to try one or two. :)
I have already used a few of the methods in other projects and am loving the result!
This video did not disappoint ... tons of techniques and all sort of inspiration! review by Trisha on 9/15/2018
I wanted to take this class in person, but life got in the way ... so decided to pick up the video. Well worth it!
It's always fun taking a class from Nancy. It's not only a good time but you learn tons of techniques, shortcuts, and there's always organizational secrets to help you out.
Well ... this video did not disappoint. It's full of great techniques that can be used in all sorts of projects, pointers on how to keep unique pieces ready and at your fingertips, and lots of whimsical inspiration to get the imagination jumping. Definitely well worth having in your library!
Outstanding!!! review by Bridget on 9/5/2018
This class is packed with information that will definitely be used in future fusing projects. All of the different elements that are discussed are explained with thoroughness that a novice can understand and replicate. I have purchased several video classes and all have been good; this one however, is outstanding with the amount of information and technique that is packed into it. The instructor is clear and concise. The level of detail in her examples are excellent. Well worth the admission price!
