This Unique All Fiber Kiln is Really Quick. Since it is made from fiber mostof the heat is absorbed by the glass and not the kiln. This allows a painter or fuser to do a few firings a day. The cool down is also quick since the fiber does not absorb the heat like fire brick. There is not a shelf either, you can use fiber paper on the bottom, kaiser lee board, or lava cloth. Please remember you can fire glass as fast as the glass can take the heat. We have fired many times in about 1 hour, but when we slumped the fused glass project, we had to slow up the rate to 300 degrees per hour to account for the now thicker piece of glass and the ceramic mold. This kiln is named after Mike's and Randy's Mom, Bonnie Glotfelty, who has been in the fired arts industry since the late 1960's. We love her and appreciate the years of service and the help and guidance she has given to Jen-Ken Kilns. We actually think that she just comes to work to make sure we made it in and to go to lunch. She is wonderful lady that deserves a kiln named after her after all the years in the industry.  A Small Kiln with Big Kiln Features. Price Includes: Kiln Wash,  Stand and Manual.  Kiln ships direct from manufacturer.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. 1. A gr8 first kiln review by Serran on 1/25/2016

I received this kiln for a present. It seems to work really fine, however, I keep having my glass come out cracked, or not fused properly. I am very new at this, so I think I just have to learn how to adjust my kiln. This kiln has pre-set firing programs, which makes it gr8 for the newby....unless you are like me and a clueless newby!
Overall, I am very pleased with this kiln, only wish I lived close to AAE Glass where I could take classes!
